The Zē Wines Story…

Zē Wines began in 2021 when Owner/Winemaker Zane Morris made his first small-lot of Pinot Noir Piquette while working harvest in the Willamette Valley. After catching the winemaking bug, Zane began to plot and scheme for a full production plan for 2022’s harvest.

The ethos of Zē Wines is to craft quality wines that are approachable for anyone to enjoy. With this as the goal, Zane decided the best way to design the first vintage of Zē Wines was to make wines he would want to share with his friends at their frequent pizza parties and game nights. The name of the brand stems from the gender-neutral pronoun “Zē”, encapsulating the message that these wines are for everyone, as well as a play on Zane’s first initial.

As the 2022 harvest approached, Zane eagerly awaited the arrival of his first batch of fruit to create the inaugural Zē Wines vintage. The 2022 vintage resulted in 125 cases of hand crafted, hand bottled and hand labeled wines, including Pinot Noir Rosé, Riesling, Sparkling Pét-Nat and two Piquettes. These wines were made with the help of a village of family, friends and collaborators, with many hours of hard work spent in the winery bringing these wines to life. Enjoy a glass of Zē Wines with good food, good music, and with those you love.

Family

It takes a village to make wine, and Zē Wines would not exist without these gorgeous people, my family! From listening to my wild ideas, to spending hours helping me bottle, label and package all of the first cases of wines I made, they’re always ready to roll!
